Laser Preparation

-
Submit an online consultation form via our website, if you haven't already, to equip yourself with price and session estimates for your unique laser journey.
-
Check with Lazer Erazer if you are taking medications, supplements or products that cause increased skin photosensitivity - if you aren't sure, reach out and we will let you know! (especially, but not limited to, forms of: Tretinoin, Accutane & Doxycycline).
-
Have something to eat prior to your session, to avoid feeling yucky post-treatment.
-
Wear something that allows your technician to comfortably access the area/s we are lasering.
-
Ensure that you have sufficient downtime in the hours/days following your appointment - you will need to rest, avoid exercise and apply ice to the treated areas afterward, so pick a week where you can take it easy.
-
Consider using numbing cream prior to your appointment – read instruction details below.
-
Don't have any false tan on the areas we are lasering .
-
Don't expose the tattoos we are lasering to sun in the 2 weeks leading up to your appointing (keep them covered – Band-Aids or protective clothing!).
-
Don't time your appointments too close to vacations (especially those involving long flights, swimming or lots of sun! ).
-
Don't time your appointments too close to major social events (weddings, parties etc.) if having visible bandages/healing, wounded skin is of concern aesthetically!
Numbing Cream Instructions (Laser Only!)
-
Numbing cream is not mandatory, but strongly recommended! We cannot supply this for you, please apply ahead of time!
-
You can purchase numbing cream from most pharmacies. Numit or Emla are commonly used and widely available brands. Please ensure this product is safe for you to use – check with your GP if unsure. We advise patch testing your cream in a different area, a few days prior to your appointment.
-
Please find numbing cream instructions below.
-
Shower/wash the area, gentle exfoliation helps remove excess dead skin cells that hinder absorption
-
If the tattoo is in an area that grows thick, long hairs, consider shaving the area prior (numbing cream will be absorbed by the hairs instead of your skin!)
-
Pat the skin dry
-
Vigorously rub a thin layer of the numbing cream over the area (as you would with moisturiser or sunscreen)
-
Liberally add another layer of numbing cream, this time as thick as possible (think: frosting a cake/covering the tattoo until you can’t see it anymore)
-
Wrap/cover the area as tightly as possible/comfortable in cling wrap (in certain placements, tape will help secure this!)
-
RELAX for 2 hours (at least one hour is advised, two is the gold standard for a stellar numb! For head & face tattoos, 45-60 minutes usually does the trick!)
-
Rock up to your appointment as is! Your tech will unwrap & clean the area at the beginning of the session
-
Cruise through your session with minimal pain
-
Head home to rest, ice & where possible, elevate the area. Drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous exercise and unnecessary physical stressors/toxins (i.e. alcohol, nicotine, saunas, sweat-inducing activities ) for around 48 hours post-treatment.
-
Heal hard, play hard! Congratulations, see you in 12 weeks!

Numbing cream is NOT safe for piercing appointments, so please do not use it! We will ask you to wipe it off and wait until it has worn off before piercing you.
-
Some piercings are dependent on your individual anatomy and will require an anatomy check first. Please be advised that our piercers may not perform the service if they feel that your anatomy will not support the piercing – this is for your safety and wellbeing.
